Felzartamab is an antibody medicine for multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow. In China it is sold as 境斐® (注射用菲泽妥单抗). It was first created by MorphoSys, developed for China by TJ Biopharma, and is now marketed in China by Biogen, with TJ Biopharma making it at its plant in Hangzhou.
China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approved it in August 2026, its first approval anywhere in the world, for adults with:
It is a prescription blood cancer medicine, given in hospital under a haematologist or oncologist.
Myeloma cells carry large amounts of a surface protein called CD38. Felzartamab is a human monoclonal antibody that sticks to CD38 and flags the myeloma cells so that the immune system's killer cells and scavenger cells destroy them. It was designed to make little use of a third route, called complement, which researchers link to infusion reactions. The company reports low and mild infusion reactions and an infusion time of about 1.5 hours.
The phase 3 trial (NCT03952091), published in The Lancet Haematology in 2026, was run at 41 hospitals in China. It included 295 adults whose myeloma had come back after at least one treatment and was not resistant to lenalidomide. Adding felzartamab to lenalidomide and dexamethasone:
In the trial, felzartamab was given as a drip into a vein at 16 mg per kg of body weight on this schedule:
Alongside it, patients took lenalidomide 25 mg by mouth on days 1 to 21 of each 28-day cycle and dexamethasone once a week (40 mg, or 20 mg for people over 75). It is supplied as a powder for injection that is made up and diluted before the drip. Your haematologist sets the exact plan.
This information is not a treatment plan. For personalized medical advice, consult your doctor and refer to the full prescribing information.
Blood counts: low blood counts were the most common severe side effects. In the phase 3 trial, severe (grade 3–4) neutropenia occurred in 55% of patients on the felzartamab combination against 23% on lenalidomide and dexamethasone alone, with low lymphocytes in 41% vs 15%, low white cells in 39% vs 11% and low platelets in 26% vs 11%. Blood counts are checked regularly.
Overall: deaths judged to be related to treatment occurred in 6% of patients on the felzartamab combination and 2% on the comparison treatment, mostly linked to infections or of unknown cause. Safety in pregnancy, breastfeeding and children has not been established in the published data.

The injection can be imported only in the patient's name, by the patient or a government hospital, in line with India's import regulations for unapproved medicines. You will need:
Once we have received and checked a valid prescription and, where needed, an import permit.
No. It is approved only in China. It has no CDSCO approval, it is not sold in Indian pharmacies, and the US FDA and European Medicines Agency have not approved it.
Patients can still get it legally through the Named Patient Program (NPP), which allows a medicine not registered in India to be imported for one specific patient on a prescription. For other import options in relapsed myeloma, see our pages on Talvey and Elrexfio.
It can be made available to patients, doctors, and hospitals across major cities in India, including Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Mysore, Kerala, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Jaipur, Udaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kannur, Mangalore, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Goa, Jammu, Srinagar, Dehradun, Bhopal, Indore, Ludhiana, Amritsar, and others — and can facilitate delivery to the patient's treating hospital. NamedPatientProgram.com (NPP) sources this medicine through the manufacturer's authorised supply channels in China and arranges supply to patients, doctors, and hospitals under applicable legal provisions. The vials travel in their sealed original packs under temperature-controlled shipping, kept as directed on the pack all the way to the hospital. Because the dose depends on body weight and the drips are frequent in the first 12 weeks, we plan quantities with the hospital phase by phase. All prescriptions are dispensed and checked by registered pharmacists and dispatched from New Delhi, India, after legal requirements are fulfilled.
