Picankibart is a biologic injection for adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. It was developed in China by Innovent Biologics and is sold there as PECONDLE® (信美悦®). Once the starting doses are done, it is given only once every 12 weeks.
China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approved it in November 2025 for:
It is a prescription immunology medicine and should be used under the care of a dermatologist.
Interleukin-23 (IL-23) is one of the main messengers that keeps psoriasis inflammation going. It switches on immune cells that release further signals, and these make skin cells multiply too quickly and pile up into plaques. Picankibart is a monoclonal antibody that binds the p19 part of IL-23, which is unique to that messenger, so IL-23 can no longer reach its receptor. Its Fc region has been engineered so it stays in the body longer, which is what allows the long 12-week gap between maintenance doses.
The phase 3 CLEAR-1 trial enrolled 500 Chinese adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology in 2026. At week 16, 80.3% of people on picankibart 200 mg reached PASI 90, meaning their psoriasis score improved by at least 90%, compared with 2.0% on placebo. 93.5% were rated clear or almost clear by their doctor, against 13.1% on placebo. These results held steady through week 52 on both 100 mg and 200 mg every 12 weeks.
A separate phase 2 study of 152 people, most of whom had already used an IL-17A biologic, looked at switching straight to picankibart. Among those whose psoriasis was not well controlled before the switch, 48.2% reached clear or almost-clear skin (with less than 3% of the body affected) by week 16, rising to 54.2% by week 44.
In the CLEAR-1 trial, the schedule was:
The dose your dermatologist prescribes should follow the Chinese prescribing information supplied with the pack.
This information is not a treatment plan. For personalized medical advice, consult your doctor and refer to the full prescribing information.
Picankibart acts on the immune system, so the precautions below are the ones doctors normally follow with this kind of biologic. Full details are in the Chinese prescribing information.
Overall: the CLEAR-1 researchers reported that picankibart was well tolerated, with no new safety signals through 52 weeks. Innovent describes its safety profile as consistent with other IL-23p19 antibodies. Detailed side-effect percentages from CLEAR-1 were not available in the sources we reviewed. Safety in pregnancy, breastfeeding and children has not been established, so discuss these situations with your doctor.

The injection can be imported only in the patient's name, by the patient or a government hospital, in line with India's import regulations for unapproved medicines. You will need:
Once we have received and checked a valid prescription and, where needed, an import permit.
No. It is approved only in China. It has no CDSCO approval, it is not sold in Indian pharmacies, and the US FDA and European Medicines Agency have not approved it either.
Patients can still get it legally through the Named Patient Program (NPP), which allows a medicine not registered in India to be imported for one specific patient on a prescription. We also help patients import other psoriasis treatments, such as Bimzelx and Sotyktu.
It can be made available to patients, doctors, and hospitals across major cities in India, including Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Mysore, Kerala, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Jaipur, Udaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kannur, Mangalore, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Goa, Jammu, Srinagar, Dehradun, Bhopal, Indore, Ludhiana, Amritsar, and others — and can facilitate delivery to the patient's treating hospital. Orders are confirmed only after receipt of a valid doctor's prescription and an import permit, where applicable.
NamedPatientProgram.com (NPP) sources this medicine through the manufacturer's authorised supply channels in China and arranges supply to patients, doctors, and hospitals under applicable legal provisions. The pens are stored and shipped as directed on the pack, using temperature-controlled shipping, and kept in their original box until use. Because the starting phase needs several pens and maintenance needs one or two every 12 weeks, we plan each order around the treatment calendar. All prescriptions are dispensed and checked by registered pharmacists and dispatched from New Delhi, India, after legal requirements are fulfilled.
