Litfulo (ritlecitinib) is an oral JAK/TEC inhibitor approved by the FDA for the treatment of severe alopecia areata in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older.
Litfulo works by inhibiting Janus kinase 3 (JAK3) and TEC family kinases, which play a role in the immune-mediated attack on hair follicles that causes alopecia areata. By modulating this immune activity, Litfulo helps enable hair regrowth in eligible patients.
Litfulo is indicated for patients 12 years and older with severe alopecia areata, a condition marked by significant patchy or complete hair loss.
The recommended dose of Litfulo is 50 mg taken orally once daily, with or without food.
Boxed Warning — Litfulo: Litfulo carries a boxed warning for serious infections, mortality, malignancy, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), and thrombosis. Patients treated with JAK inhibitors are at increased risk of serious bacterial, fungal, viral, and opportunistic infections, including tuberculosis, that may lead to hospitalization or death. A higher rate of all-cause mortality, including sudden cardiovascular death, has been observed with another JAK inhibitor compared to TNF blockers. Malignancies, including lymphoma, have occurred, along with a higher rate of MACE and thrombosis (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and arterial thrombosis).
Patients should be evaluated for tuberculosis before starting treatment and monitored for signs of infection throughout therapy. Litfulo should be avoided in patients with active serious infections.
Hematologic parameters, including absolute lymphocyte count and platelet count, should be monitored before and during treatment.
Patients, particularly current or past smokers and those with other cardiovascular risk factors, should be evaluated for malignancy and cardiovascular risk before and during treatment.
Litfulo may cause fetal harm. Effective contraception should be used during treatment.

Litfulo is manufactured and marketed by Pfizer. It is sourced through authorized distribution channels for patients seeking named-patient import into India.
Patients typically need a valid prescription from a treating dermatologist confirming the diagnosis of severe alopecia areata. NPP's regulatory team assists in preparing and verifying the documentation needed for a compliant import.
As an FDA-approved therapy for severe alopecia areata, Litfulo is sourced through authorized channels and imported under GDP-compliant logistics to preserve product quality throughout transit.
NPP sources Litfulo directly from authorized pharmaceutical distributors to ensure product authenticity and full traceability. Every shipment is handled under Good Distribution Practice (GDP) conditions from origin to the patient's doorstep.
Litfulo should be stored at 20°C to 25°C, with excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C, and this condition is maintained throughout transit.
