Vitrakvi (larotrectinib) is a kinase inhibitor approved for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with solid tumors that have a neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase (NTRK) gene fusion, without a known acquired resistance mutation, that are metastatic or where surgical resection is likely to result in severe morbidity, and who have no satisfactory alternative treatments or whose cancer has progressed following treatment.
Vitrakvi selectively inhibits TRK (tropomyosin receptor kinase) proteins, blocking abnormal signaling caused by NTRK gene fusions that drive tumor growth, regardless of where in the body the tumor originates — a tumor-agnostic approach based on the underlying genetic alteration.
Vitrakvi is intended for patients of any age, from infants to adults, whose tumors have been confirmed through an approved test to carry an NTRK gene fusion, across a wide range of solid tumor types.
The recommended adult dose of Vitrakvi is 100 mg orally twice daily, with or without food, continued until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. Pediatric dosing is based on body surface area, using capsules or oral solution as appropriate.
Vitrakvi does not carry a formal FDA boxed warning. However, patients and prescribers should be aware of the following important safety information.
Neurologic reactions, including dizziness, gait disturbances, and cognitive changes, have been reported in a majority of patients in clinical trials. Dose modification may be needed for significant neurotoxicity.
Liver function tests should be monitored every two weeks during the first month of treatment, then monthly thereafter, as liver enzyme elevations have been observed.
Vitrakvi may cause fetal harm. Effective contraception should be used during treatment and for a period after the final dose, as advised by the treating physician.

Vitrakvi is manufactured and marketed by Bayer AG. It is sourced through authorized distribution channels for patients seeking named-patient import into India.
Patients typically need a valid prescription from a treating oncologist confirming diagnosis and NTRK gene fusion testing results. NPP's regulatory team assists in preparing and verifying the documentation needed for a compliant import.
As an approved tumor-agnostic therapy for NTRK fusion-positive solid tumors, Vitrakvi is sourced through authorized channels and imported under GDP-compliant logistics to preserve product quality throughout transit.
NPP sources Vitrakvi directly from authorized pharmaceutical distributors to ensure product authenticity and full traceability. Every shipment is handled under Good Distribution Practice (GDP) conditions from origin to the patient's doorstep.
Vitrakvi should be stored at 20°C to 25°C, with excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C, and this condition is maintained throughout transit.
Once documentation and regulatory approvals are in place, delivery timelines are communicated transparently at the time of quotation, accounting for import clearance and last-mile logistics to the patient's city.
